The screen has small spots or specks on it. I have tried to clean with a
glass clearner, but it does not help. It apprears to be on the back side.
Is there a Garmin dealer in the Tallahassee area that could look at it?

I would email Garmin and see what they say. Chances are good you'll have to send it back to them, but they will fix it, probably at no charge.
