deep water-middlegrounds

Has anyone been to the middle grounds lately? say 180 feet? or deep water off Apalachicola? If so was their plenty of action?

I haven't been lately, but my buddy one the saltwater classic in both the Wahoo and Dolphin categories. He said if you can find the blue water, the action is non-stop. As for bottom dropping, I am sure that is on fire too.
