Ignition problem need help

I tried to crank the motor, a C40 yamaha. I had it out about 5 weeks ago it ran fine. it has been parked since, so I figured i wanted to just crank it up this morning.
Turned the key and nothing, no response noise or anything. Like a dead batt. So I hook up the charger and it says batt is 85%.

I have it running a charge now. Where do I start with trouble shooting this? :-?

Check all your connections. If the battery is full and you don't hear anything chances are your connections are opened.

DISCONECT YOUR BATTERIES , CLEAN THE POST AND ALL BATTERY CONNECTIONS ON THE BATTERY AND THE CONSOLE, COAT ALL CONNECTIONS WITH ANTI CORRODE SALVE AND REASSEMBLE, SHOULD WORK AFTER THIS SINCE YOUR BATT. IS CHARGED.

I like it! Goes to show my mechanic was right, "First, do not over look the obvious!" :-D

I know how you feel but we all do things like that!
