There were a lot of crazy folks out on Sunday in the Carrabelle river. It made for some good entertainment from the dock at C-Quarters.
The best one was some nut in a go fast bow rider running wide open down the middle of the river in the no wake zone. (seems there are a lot of folks who just don't know what the channel markers are for) anyway everyone of the dock just stopped and watched this nut until he ran up on the oyster bar and darn near threw everyone out of the boat. Then he proceeds to plow through the bar. I wonder if his water pump is still working. Well this was the best or worse one of the day, but not the only one. I wonder where these folks come from?

Enough to make you wonder how they survive!

Did they get it out of the river? Or is it still floating somewhere?

Absent a serious mechanical failure I just don't see how that can happen

I came across an incident like this as i pulled in to launch my boat, three guys ran up asking if i had a "big rope?" As my headlights camme across the water i thought i saw a "raft"??? It turned out to be the top of a Lincoln Continental. We broke the heaviest rope three times and never moved it. They were just getting it out of the water when we came back from fishing. Trailer had jack-knifed under the dock and had the car stuck. Car had 117 miles on it - two days old!! These guys seemed sober too !!

Thankfully the family had went to the restrooms so there were no kids in the car, but the vehicle was in park and had been for a couple minutes because he was in the boat raising the trim on the motor when it started rolling backwards into the water. No reverse lights were on or anything. He's still not clear what happended. Could've been disasterous if the children were in the car. ALWAYS use the parking brake and ALWAYS never load until off the ramp.
