I don't know how big your group is but I saw a place yesterday on 'vrbo.com' just east of Lanark market (no fluke) that could sleep 6.

The Port Inn in PSJ is nice practically across the street from the city ramp to the bay, they have some new "cottages" if you prefer privacy. Decent breakfast is included, they do some cooked to order on the weekends but not professional cooks, not bad just had to do eggs over a couple times before they got them right... No comment about the Thirsty Goat :o The cottages have plenty of room to park a boat.

Barefoot Cottages just west of PSJ are really nice, not sure if they do 1 night but a great weekend trip. Lots of boat parking here too.

Edit to add - snapper season will be open 10/1 - 10/15 if you want to try some of the close in reefs off of Mexico Beach.

Thanks zload, I looked at the port inn and the barefoot and they look great, I think that's were we are gonna go again next trip and take the wife's and they can hang at the pool while we fish. We went down there a couple years ago and stayed at old salt works cabins, they were nice and secluded but I little drive to the boat ramp. Think we're gonna hit the franklininn in carrabelle this trip and fish out lanark which is uncharted waters for my and my partner so any advice would be very helpfull as well
