Better than working

I left work at three this afternoon with the plan of drinking some cold beers and catching a fish or two. The bite was kind of slow but the beers were cold and the sun was warm. I caught one on a merthiolate trick worm, one on a small spinner bait, and three on a black trick worm. The water temp was 74 degrees about six inches below the surface.

I know there are some 3-4 pounders in there but I think they have been caught so many times they aren't too interested in the proposition anymore.

Anyway, I think I need to cull a few and I do believe these ones will be tasty.

That size is the best eating. If you're catching them out of your pond, you're correct. You need to thin the smaller ones out. Terrible task, buut I know you're up to it.

BTW, when are ya headed down again?

I'm going to PC next weekend. I have been trying to get a trip planned to Tallahassee for the middle of next month but am not having much luck so far.
