Take A Kid Fishing - Shout Out

Friends of Take A Kid Fishing
Many thanks again for taking your time on Saturday to give a child memories they won’t forget for a long time, maybe never. It was a great effort on everyone’s part to make this ten year anniversary of Take a Kid Fishing a success. And we know it’s a success when the kids get off their boats and start the bragging rights!
We are creating some true fishermen!!!
Some of the comments I heard were: “I caught a shark!” “I saw a turtle.” “I drove the boat.” “We must have caught 30 fish.” “Yes…I caught both of these!” Those are just some off the top of my head that I can remember. There were so many more!
And what about the hotdogs this year? Did Mike (Atkins) and Tommy (Capital City Trailers) do a great job, or what? How ‘bout those beans??? The cookout was a great way to end a cool day on the bay. Thanks to Atkins for providing the food again this year; Tommy (Capital City Trailers) for providing the grill; and Mike Scibelli (Atkins) for helping to cook; Marty Spears (Flowers Bakery); Gary Keys (E&M Motors); and Harvest Printing. The City of St. Marks came through again by providing the pavilion for our use and waiving the ramp fee for participating captains. Wow, that’s a lot of thanks! Most of all, none of this would have happened without YOU! Thanks captains, family, friends, and BigBendFishing.net.
Looking forward to next year. Hope y’all can do it again!
