The wife and I chased the trout on the bay Saturday and Sunday. It was beautiful weather and we had a great time.

Saturday- We got Skunked! And like Forrest Gump said "Thats all I've got to say about that."

Sunday- Much better tide on Sunday and we quickly located the trout. Fished south of Blacks Island in 3-6 ft of water. Caught 7 keepers between 17"and 22" on a silver Zara spook and a neon mercury grub under a equilizer cork. Had to leave the fish biting to go pick up the kids so we were not able to finish out our limit.

Located the trout Sunday in a narrow stretch of stained to cloudy 3'-6' water that ran between 2 big flats of clear 2' water. I'm thinking theres a lesson to be learned here.

Can't wait until next time.

"I'm thinking there's a lesson to be learned here".
And...the lesson is?
I ask because I can't quite see it.
Stick to 6-7 feet, work more edges, not have kids?

The lesson is- Fish the cloudy/stained water when you find it among a lot of clear water.

Good report. I believe this also, because as the sun comes up the stained water hides alot of things that would other wise be seen in clearer water. I like to use flashy baits, such as Yozuri minnows. I do not think you catch as many, but the quality is there. I am heading down for the day this Sat., hope to bring back a good report.
