The boats I am referring to are bigger quality higher end aluminum boats. One is an Xpress and the other is a Duracraft. Both are over 15k I would guess. I saw them for sale on Facebook.

Check the G3 for pitting on the transom and cracks along the welds "especially where it goes from flat to bow"

I have a G3 that is great to fish out of but that is all. One of the worst built aluminum boats on the market as far as I am concerned. Cracks all over the boat from front to back, top to bottom. If you don't believe me just ask Waviel Porter of porter marine in Woodville. He has made a living welding G3 boats.

I got a 2004 g3 175 60 yamaha 4 stroke today. I looked all over and didn't see any cracks. I took it out and brought it back in and pulled the plug and it didn't have any water in it.

Drucker, it's a good boat just try to avoid beating her to death in chop or you will have welds crack. I have owned a number of 1756 G3's in the past and have caught many fish out of them. Congrats on your purchase!
