Went to Keaton Friday (3/28) – Sunday (3/30) with 3 other guys. We got rained out Friday but the rain moved out Saturday morning around 10 and we got on the water. Let me stop and say how poor the forecasting is from NOAA, the wind was calm for over 3 hours and the temperature got up to around 75; however, the only thing poorer than the forecasting was the fishing as we only caught 5 keeper trout and a Spanish. We fished everything in the box including live shrimp. Our best action was in 6 feet of water with live bait. A few other groups caught more Spanish but the trout bite was slow. The water was dark south of Keaton and much clearer to the North.

It was still a great weekend on the water!!

Sorry to hear you struggled. I'm sure things will turn around quickly.

That front had it really screwed up this past weekend, but it was on fire the weekend before so I'm sure it'll turn back on as soon as the water temp comes back up.

Thanks Bigblister for your good report. Sometimes it goes like that.

We went to Keaton today and came home with 5 trout, 2 flounder, 2 spanish and one bb. It was hard fishing but a beautiful day. I suspect they will be back on by the end of the week or before.
