St Marks NWR - 13 Apr 2014

Post by Terrier »

Fished the refuge from 7:45 AM to 1:30 PM, all at the wash bar. Decent day with some activity, mostly from Spanish Mackerel. Ended up with 6 Spanish, 14"-16", snagged another and lost a bunch more to short strikes and cut-offs. Also caught a short redfish and a 19" trout. The water is warming up, and not to badly stained. I kept the trout and released everything else.

I like it! Beautiful fly as well as the trout.
