Anyone been to the Reef lately? If so, what was biting? I was thinking of swinging by there this weekend.

Do the Sea Bass or Pink Mouths normally hang out on the reef?

I've been a couple of times in the past month always a case of the fish were biting the day before we got there :( according to the Seahag guys , both times the wind was whipping pretty good and changing directions so rough ride out and staying over the structure was tough. Radio chatter indicated no boats were catching much while we were out. We did catch a bunch of small sea bass and a few small SH nothing I would keep.

Plenty of fish/rocks 24-32' ,SSW around 220-230 degrees, and 10-15 miles. Crab pots are always thick in those rocky areas. Traps will be out of the water by May 1 or 15th???

Zig zag, do some figure eights, and eventually you'll see plenty of good bottom....... if the recorder is working and you're watching it. LOL Remember, you need to zoom in to about a 20' scale. For example: if the actual depth is 29', that means upper bound on 22', lower bound on 42'. This allows you to see 1-2' rocks. Might be clear enough to actually see the bottom out to 40'. Plenty of good bottom in that area. Send me a pm if you need more info.
