Hey Milto, et al. Have you decided the boundaries for launch for June Panacea tourney? Trying to plan some scout trips this month...

We used to have lots more boats participate when everyone put in at the same ramp at the same time.

Just my 2 cents even though I haven't fished this year but why have a designated ramp tournament if your making boundaries for it when everyone should put out from there.if your gonna make boundaries why not just go to having them out of Jerry's again

Could be wrong, but I think the rationale for a boundary was to avoid a crowded launch/return at one site. I'm fine with whatever y'all decide, but as a wader/kayaker, it really helps if I know I can launch maybe a mile from the weigh-in. You'll obviously get more paddler folks to register if there is a range from which to launch.

That said, I'm advancing no agenda. Just need information, so I can perhaps scout before, and definitely be legal on tourney day!

After driving around the area Sunday, I can now ask a more specific question: can I launch from one of those nearby roads that leads to Dickerson Bay/Piney Island (like Bottoms Road or Skipper Bay Road)? Same fishing area as from Panacea ramp, but less chance my kayak would be in the path of a flats boat on the way to or from weigh-in.

As soon as I hear back from Barry on the mystery fish I will post the official tournament info. Just to reply to this message about boundaries and ramp info. This tournament doesn't have boundaries. We do though have ramp specifics. So as long as you launch from the specific ramp you can go as far as your boat will take you as long as you are back at the weigh in by 3:30pm.

un/officially this tournament will be ramp specific to Bottoms Rd and Rock Landing Marina.
