He really busted his ... but the fish just did not want to cooperate. We launched at Presnell's and motored across to the quiet side of the bay almost out of the hefty wind. Used topwater, DOA on small jigs, chug bugs, dynamite( not really). Caught one 22" trout and that was it for the day. Guess that is why it is called fishing and not catching.

Dang, that's a big change from last weekend. We fished Fri, Sat. and Sun. and caught fish all three days.

half day or full day?
Don't know the guide, but I've spent probably 100 days on SJB and never had a one fish day. I have gone 4 hours without finding fish.

Had the same experience last June. I know the feeling. I want let it stop me. I will try again in the future.

First time I ever heard of a guide not putting you on fish but I suppose it happens. I thought they always caught fish.
That was a good, bad and surprising report. Thanks for posting and glad you didn't name names.

appreciate your encouragement but I really would like advice and suggestions where to fish when the wind is blowing.

In St.Joe Bay you can get out of the wind regardless of direction.

Jumptrout can't avoid the rain though he got me soaked over there.
