Pool Noodle Hook Keeper

I switch up lures a lot and have been frustrated with extra jig heads or lures bouncing off the center console.
I have a cup holder with hook keeper spots but it has proven to not be a secure way to store them.

I took a section of pool noodle - blue to match the boat ;-) - and zip tied it to the top rail on the center console.

Its holding up well and they hooks don't bounce off like when I hooked them on the cup holder ;-)

I noticed that in the pictures of your last post. I made a mental note and supposed it was pool noodle. Great idea!

I saw that in your earlier trip pics. I saw something similar years ago, but it had been on the boat awhile and it looked like it was shredding bad, so plan on changing often. Good idea!

What goes around, comes around.

Salt Water Sportsman covered the pool noodle hook-keeper idea years ago in Sportsman's Workbench. There's no end to angling gadgets using PVC too. But it's always good to see handy tips getting recycled.

I used to pre-tie leaders of different lengths for quicker change outs & used the noodle to keep them in check. Hadn't done it lately though. Thanks for the reminder.

I'm figuring they wont last more than a season.
But for $1 each at the dollar store it will be the least expensive part of my annual maintenance :smt107
