I have not seen any white bait this year...

Pins are all over the grass flats inside the Long Bar/ Shell Point Reef
At high tide go to the last marker of the channel and cut back toward shell point.
You should be able to catch a ton.

While scouting yesterday I found plenty of baitsize mullet in the tidal ditches off Bottoms Road. If you are handy with a cast net you can collect a bucket of them on the way to the Bottoms Road landing. Those ditches seem to hold water & bait through the tide cycle.

Sabiki and tip it with gulp or squid... no need to chum.

White bait are in and they are grown. Guess they matured offshore and just moved in when the water salinity allowed. Been catching them for a couple of weeks, can't give you my exact bait spot but where I catch them is closer to Shell Point than Panacea. With the right chum and the right spot you should be able to catch a hundred after 15 minutes of chumming.
Good luck.
