I caught my biggest flounder ever this weekend.

Post by Rhettley »

I was wading a creek near Carabelle this weekend and managed to catch one fish. It was a nice one though. It weighed 6.01 pounds. A professional photographer taking pictures from the bridge took the photos for me.

The flounder did not want to come into the grass and let me gill it. It took several attempts with trips back out into the creek each time. Yes I was holding my breath the whole time.

That's a fine fish man! Question: did you hire a photographer to take pictures of you?

No I didn't hire the photographer. She's a friend. It was really cool though that she was taking pictures of the natural scenery and got the whole thing in a series of photographs. I didn't realize it until I got it on the bank finally.

Thanks.
Markm I didn't have my boat down this weekend. I keep it in GA. Just a quick trip to get some stress relief.

Man that is a nice one, and very nice pics to go with it.

We caught two small ones during the NFGFC Tournament on Saturday. I tried my best to split one side midway down along the backbone and fillet all of the meat off in one piece to make stuffed flounder, but I couldn't figure out how to keep the fillets attached out near the end of the bones beneath the fins. Does anybody know if that can be done?

Nice fish!
