My boat is to small for the whole family. Does anyone know of a spot we can wade to the scallops?

Hagen's Cove, a county park, just south of Keaton Bch. Don't know about scallop count, but from there you can walk/wade for miles.

Reminds me of being a kid in central Florida and taking a cooler strapped to an inner tube, a pair of fins and swimming off a 1/2 mile or so for scallops. Boat? We didn't need no steenkin boat.

Some years Hagens Cove or Adams Beach would be great places to wade for scallops, but from what I understand, most of the scallops are being found in slightly deeper water in the Keaton area this year.
Just remember, when wading for scallops, each person is required to have one of the smaller sized dive flags on a float attached to them at all times.
