There is not a whole lot to report on this trip

We had rain and t-storms every day, along with pretty stiff winds out of the East to go along with the low and muddy water

We spent the majority of our time drinking, eating and spreading the BS with a little fishing when the weather would allow

The final tally for the 10 of us was 11 keeper Bass and around 100 keeper Brim, that should be a daily total at the least, not a trip total

Still we achieved our main goal of spending time with the boys and having some fun

On a side note, the boat traffic there is tremendous and the amount of rude "and down right dangerous" boaters is at least 10 fold compared to our area

I think that we will choose a different location for next years trip

DANG, THAT'S A LONG TRIP

MAYBE OUR NEW MOD CAN CHANG THAT DATE FROM "2/29" TO 4/29

Wevans, I have a Tourney next weekend on St. Johns. Just wanted to inquire what you caught your bass on, assuming you didn't get em' while bream fishing with live bait. Any info. would be appreciated.
Thanks, Brendan

Sounds like the weather won, Wevans. It's still a neat place to fish. And I fully understand what the intent of the trip was.

Brunner, the most pruductive lure was a 3 1/2 inch Gold/Black Rapala fished right along the edge of the Hydrilla "jiggled on top followed by an erratic retreive". A few were picked up on Punkin seed worm and Red Shad worm. The biggest hookup came on a Popping chug fished around the dollor pads with a few strikes on my Top Dog Jr. also

Very few Bass were caught around structure on the bank. Hope that helps and GOOD LUCK

Also the falling tide seemed the best time to fish
