Its time for a new photo of the week and I don't see any GREAT ones.
Post yours here and the winner (Picked by me so its totally biased) will get a BBF hat delivered to their door.

It needs to be recent and capture hunting or fishing this time of year.
Bonus points if its linked to a posted report.

See if any of these tickle your fancy. I was lucky enough to take a trip to Indiana for their firearm season and was fortunate to fill my tag with this old guy. The scenery and hunting in the snow was a rare treat for this Florida Cracker.

I returned just in time for an opening morning duck hunt with my best buddy and oldest son Mason. We only managed a lone ringer, but the memory of time spent with my boy was priceless.

Here's a few for consideration. These are pictures of my daughter Abigail Lee Russell with her first deer, an 8-point taken in Leon County November 18th. I told her we had just enough time between school and volleyball practice to go and sit if she wanted. She just took up hunting this year. Of note, this was an unassisted shot: she did it all, including the spotting of the buck coming into the field from the woods. She had to go through several days of target practice with me to ensure that when she chose to harvest a deer she wouldn't wound it. We had seen quite a few smaller bucks on our previous hunts, but I told her that if she was patient, she may get a shot at a better buck. The Lord shone on us that afternoon. Naturally, I'm a proud pop. Ironically, her sister's first deer was an 8-point taken 4 years earlier, with the same gun, out of the same stand. Raise em hunting now and you won't have to hunt em later (at least as a father of two girls I hope that pays off.....)

This one is awesome too...

I remember being a kid sitting in the boat with my dad playing with feathers and hulls.
Can't wait till my girls are old enough to get out there!

That KID is awesome! He is about as driven to hunt as any adult could hope to be. His questions- which are plentiful- always seem to help remind me of why I love the outdoors so much.

I've waited 6 years for him to grow big enough to do these things with me, and I'll proclaim loudly that the experiences are better than I could have ever hoped for.
