Sorry late report been buzy with these holidays. Me and my Ga fishing partner hit the ramp sun morn about 730, second truck there. Plenty of water with all that fresh water coming down. Headed out east toward rock island stopped to try near shore, wasted about an hour and was gonna plan on running to rock island and trying there, but we noticed the boat was taken on more water than usual, had to run bilge about every 20-30 min so didn't wanna run that far.
After nothing close to shore divided to go deeper, we started running out then all of a sudden both of us looked at each other and said ya spell that? Smelled just like we cruised over a bream bed, so we stopped and started fishing, bout 10-15 min fish fish on, 14" trout, she goes back, 5 min later 17" trout, she goes in the box. Tried to find them again but we didn't mark spot very well, tried again near shore and mouth of creeks before heading in, nothing . Saw some other boats there as well near shore. Head in. Monday windy and very foggy, could not get to the spots we wanted to hit, so had to stay close in the creeks, again no luck. Had a good time but no fish, to sum up only fish we found was the 2 trout( gave the 17" to some people fishing at the ramp) depth was 4 1/2 feet were I found some and water was clear, river was just black,no vis. Look forward to all this rain water being

gone and that spring bite
