The Bass Boys called and wanted permission to fish my catfish holes on Lake Talquin.
To make certain they stayed on the holes they inquired about,I went along.
Left Coes' Landing about 9 am and went up river to start the day.
A swift current and cold wind greeted us on the first hole.
Several quality fish were boxed here before the bite tailed off.
We ate a sandwich and downed a drink before heading to the next spot.
As soon as we set up,the bite was on again.
Had a steady bite for a couple hours here and then nothing.
Came out about 2PM with this cooler nearly full of catfish.

That looks like a great fish fry! Since learning to fish, freshwater catfish has been the only local fish to elude me. Looks like a great day.

Heat up the grease!

The next two months will be awesome for Cats on talquin.
We ran bush hooks last year in February and loaded the box.

Nice haul! I haven't fished Talquin since last summer. Time to get back there and poke around. Still have a lot to learn about the lake.

I have never caught as many CC's on crickets as I did last yr fishing for bluegill at Talquin. Sure was fun on light weight brim gear.

Nice mess you have there
