Handyman to avoid

Mike Perry, Michael Perry, Michael A. Perry.

I, and several others I know, had done quite a bit of work with mike, buying and selling items as well as services. Things went well till he got into a "spot" at which point he had an estimated $10k in advances on material from the group. After that, he disappeared. I was into him for a new roof on a rental property as well as some bathroom repairs, material only. Some were out more, some less. He did good work when he showed up, but I ended up having to sue him in small claims court and expect I will only get a tax writeoff in the end.

He bills himself as a handyman, roofer, plumber, remodeler, and also does a bunch of pressure washing jobs. I am relaying this in hopes that the folks here will not be taken as I was. Fortunately, God has blessed us and we are not too put out for the loss, the mortgage is still paid, the lights are still on, only the business reserve is depleted. If you, or someone you know, is using his services, be aware or make them aware that he is shady.

Looks like he's not licensed. It is always good to see the person's license that is working on your property that way you have a way to sue them in court. But you probably know this..
