backing -braid- how to prevent waste

braid cost - how do you fill the spool. with out under filling or over filling or waste. what is the best way.

take to Dave at Fishermans Paradise in Valdosta :D
find a pro in your area, it want cost anymore than DIY and will be way less aggravating.

Use backing, it keeps you from wasting so much braid. Also keeps the braid from slipping on the spool. If you're really trying to squeeze everything out of your spool. When the braid is faded and worn out, reel it onto an empty spool and all that braid underneath the old braid is still brand new. hope that makes sense

I flip mine like you described... its like getting new line!

bman i like what you do turning the line around.i'am makeing a spool to turn the line around to refresh the line. where the backing and braid fill the spool poperly and you can add to backing at anytime.to refill and refresh the existing line you have.
