Just kidding
He is alive and well. Just swamped with work.
I'll let him fill in the details.

Hey guys

It's been a boring year for me "fished twice last year"

after I had my shoulder surgery, I figured I'd get back to fishin

however, I seem to be afflicted with Osteoarthritis and had to have my left hip replaced around Christmas and kinda fell into a funk, not really wanting ta see, speak or be around folks for a while

I may just sell the Redneck and buy me a tractor to work around the house with

The doc gives me 1 to 3 years before I have to replace the right hip, so I doubt that I 'll get back to my fishin ways any time soon. I really appreciate y'alls concern and hope everyone is doing great and catchin up my limit of fish

Sorry to hear about the hip Wevans. Miss your presence on the forum. Whether you sell the Redneck or not, if you ever decide you want to ride along for fishing trip shoot me a note. I'd be happy to have you aboard.

SORRY TO HEAR ABOUT THE HIP, I HAD MINE DONE SEPT. 5, 2014, I AM ABLE TO GET AROUND ON A CANE PRETTY GOOD BUT HAVE NOT ADVANCED TO GOING WITHOUT SOME ASSISTANCE. MY OLDEST SON BOUGHT ME A NEW 18 FT. SUNFISH BOAT AND I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO PUT IT IN THE WATER YET. HE SAID THAT HE WOULD COME OVER THIS NEXT WEEK-END AND TAKE ME AND THE BOAT TO THE GULF AND CATCH SOME FISH IF IT IS NOT TOO COLD OR WINDY. HOPE ALL GOES WELL WITH THE HIP, BE SURE TO CONTINUE THE THERAPY, THAT IS THE ONLY THING THAT WILL GET YA BACK INTO THE SADDLE.

Hey W, glad you are doing ok. As far as the arthritis there is a medicine called Colcrys that is absolutely great. It is expensive as all heck if you don't have insurance but its worth the $$$ to be pretty much pain free.
Then there are a few bonuses with taking the drug. Now they think its also good for your heart and some other organs. Also it has made me lose some weight!
Hey, you take care and I'm sure there are a whole bunch, including myself, that would be happy to have you onboard fishing with them.

Hey Waldon-Sheri and I are sure sorry you aren't fishing much-we know its been your lifestyle and its hard not being able to do it, we had to sell our "offshore " boat because we can't take the pounding anymore. We both hope you can get better and get out on the water again soon-maybe you can do what we did-get a boat better suited to your physical limitations.Get better soon.
