Finally got a chance to go coastal. Picked up a friend in Thomasville and made it to landing
around 12. Was surprised at number of trailers at the ramp. We went west of the river and fished the flats in 4
to 5 feet. Water was stained but you could see about 2 feet down. We had a great day on the water and caught
around 14 fish with 9 being keepers.Had two 18 and 1 that went over 22. The rest were smaller.Fish were scattered and did not show color preference.
Tried deeper and creek mouths and caught no fish. Beautiful day to fish. Back at ramp before 4.

How was the chop?

I ran the mouth @ st marks but turned around with the woman and the dog in the boat. Might have just been the incoming tide/wind.

We went yesterday for 7 hours and fished from Hickory Mounds to Aucilla. Didn't catch the first trout or red all day. Not even a bite. Talked to a few more guys at the ramp and they had about the same luck....nothing.

It got pretty rough before we came in. I have an 18 ft Sailfish cc and the ride in
was still bumpy.
