So I was planning on running east over towards Aucilla to do a little exploring, because I never seem to make it much further than the Rock Garden. I knew that plan was a wash when I saw the lily pads on the Refuge ponds half-inverted due to the wind.

I picked around the oyster bars at the mouth of the river, then joined a whole fleet of small boats taking shelter in the East River--managed to pick up 4 puppy reds along the oyster bars (one was pushing the slot, but the rest were 14-15"). The wind seemed to continue to strengthen, and I got tired of fighting it--off the water at 9:20 (a new record for me).

Rev,

That's not very encouraging. Do you happen to know the wind forcast for St Marks tomorrow?

SG--

Check the NOAA link on the site--I think it's forecasted 10-15 for tomorrow.
