Finally broke my curse

Thanks for all the help on my first post a few days ago. One of ya'll mentioned the Ocklokonee side of Bald Point, so I figured I'd give her a whirl today.
Oh but first! I figured I'd been cursed with some no-fish catching ju-ju out there and I did a little research. I found out that You're not supposed to carry bananas or any banana products while fishing (I had banana boat sunscreen in my tackle box before). Also, you're not supposed to wear anything by fruit of the loom (oddly, enough, there are no bananas in that ensemble of fruits). I threw away my sunscreen, tossed every one of my pairs of underbritches, and replaced them with Hanes. They feel better anyway AND they're camo.
Hit bald point about an hour and a half before high tide today. I didn't fish off the little fishing pier. Instead I went down to the point and fished about 50 yards inland from the gulf, but out into the Ocklokonee. Nothing for a couple hours. As High tide peaked and started moving out, I noticed the bait fish were running like crazy. Dangit! I wasn't cast out far enough. I switched from a Carolina rig with a 1oz weight to a double drop rig with a 4oz surf weight so I could get it out there. Good thing I brought my 10" rod too! As soon as the rig hit the water, the bait fish were running like crazy from the noise, and sure enough, TWO under-slot reds at the same time. I was catching them like crazy for about 15 minutes, but they were all 15-17" so no keepers. I ran out of shrimp and decided to try embarrass myself with my cast net that I just learned how to throw (7' one). Caught several minnows (and even a little 4" red lol). By then, the bite had already tapered off and the nastiest storm was heading in so I took off.
What a fun day!
These are the first 4 I pulled in. Oh, and my little helpers in that bucket (I'm tickled that I can even cast that net)
