What a day. We limited out two boats, a total of 7 people by 2:00.
I was the lucky one today with the big fish of about 26.5". We also caught 2 cobia but they were a little shy on length. The colors of the day were new penny, electric chicken and PT 2000. I also caught a 22" trout on Birddogs favorite Catch 2000 but in a diffrent color. It wwhite with a red head not Orange and black,Birddog. Yall guys have a great day. And by the way Dale hollow, I have a new 1860 G3 with a 90 Yamaha and I love it.

Good trip CT. Nice trout, 26 inches. Cobia seem to be plentyfull this year everywhere. If you've never caught one. This is the year to do it.

Can any of you Ecofina fisher people advise me on an area to fish for a first trip and no gps? I fished a NFGFC tournament there but not in my own boat.
Something nice and simple to start with?

Sea Gurl, when you get to the mouth of the river go straight past the tripod about 1 mile and start fishing. Or, go left about 1 mile to Peary Island bars and start fishing. Or, go right about 1 mile to Long point and start fishing. There will be rock grass and bars and rocks and shell bottom and spotty bottom in all those places. And lots of trout, reds cobes etc.
Good luck
