Well...either a racoon or possum...but I am thinking racoon.
Who can take care of this issue in town?
Already called one place off of google and they did have anyone in this area.

Call Turtleman....You can pay him with two onions and a sack of fish fillets!
You might try one of the small game traps they have at Tractor Supply. I have a couple if you need to borrow one. My son catches opossums, coons, squirrels and our cat on a regular basis.

Just go up there and get him. It's just like grabbing a catfish and probably tastes better than Gar.

I HAVE CLIMBED UP IN THE ATTAC WITH MY TRUSTY .22 AND USING RAT SHOT WIPED OUT A COLONY OF FLYING SQUIRRELS, IF U DO NOT PICK THEM UP THEY SMELL PRETTY RANK IN ABOUT 3 DAYS. WE HAD THIS PROBLEM DOWN AT THE LAKE HOUSE SEVERAL YEARS BACK. THEY HAD GATHERED I WOULD SAY ABOUT 1/2 BUSHEL OF SCRUB OAK ACORNS AND IT SOUNDED LIKE WE HAD A BOWLING ALLEY UP THERE WHEN IT GOT DARK. I THOUGHT I HAD GATHERED ALL OF THE ONES I HAD KILLED , BUT ALAS I HAD MISSED A FEW, THE SMELL WAS SO BAD WE HAD TO GO BACK HOME AND WAIT A FEW DAYS BEFORE RETURNING TO THE LAKE. WHEN WE RETURNED THERE WAS STILL A MUSTY SMELL, GOT SOME REFRESHENER AND SPRAYED IT AROUND WHILE WE WERE FISHING AND THE SMELL WENT AWAY.

Well...it appears it is not a racoon, but a good ol' opossum. Trap is set, nothing in it this morning so it may take a few days. If we don't get it soon we will place a trap in the attic. Bad part about that is I guess they get mad when they get trapped and pee and poop all over the place so we are trying to get it outside first.

Try putting a large piece of cardboard underneath the trap so the mess will be easier to clean up.
Bait the trap with a small can of sardines; that usually works pretty quick on 'possums; I've caught plenty of them that way in a Havahart trap.

Trust me and use a honey bun. You won't catch a cat (you will with sardines) and the possums and raccoons love them!
