Continuing a run of off shore trips , more this season than I have in the last 10 years, I went with three buddies to snapper fish out of Destin.

Learned a lot! First according to several of charter captains I spoke to there is a "9 mile deadzone" out from the pass.
After seeing the number of boats I'm not shocked. Even on a very rough weekend there were a lot of folks on the water.

Our first morning got blown out - the wind never died down while we were there.
Got out the next day and caught our snapper  got to ride on a Cat boat and man it is a stable fishing platform.
Not fast but lots of room and comfortable!
Here are some highlights- Doughnut Hole, Bass Pro, and Beer when we could not fish and some on the water action.

Clear beautiful water but I think our bottom fishing is better.
My next trip over I want to focus on stuff we don't usually catch here.
Wahoo, Dolphin and other big water Pelagic fish!
