Strange stuff on the last alligator permit draw...

Yesterday AM I got a little excited- FWC had charged my credit card $280
I thought that meant I got a permit in the third round.
Went to the license site and it said "Draw Pending"
Then this morning the License site says "Unsuccessful" and they refunded the $280
That happen to anyone else?
Seems strange... I say its a conspiracy

You would have to pay me at least $280 to sit on a lake all night, fighting bugs, then for the hi light, you have to pull a 500 lb dead weight out of the water. Oh yea, then the cleaning. To each his own

Have the wife checking our account now. Been reading about this on another site & it appears that FWC's vendor screwed the pooch & charged anyone that applied & then refunded if you didn't get a permit. That was not the deal as I read it on FWC site. They are going to catch hell for this screw up. By the way, I didn't get permit. Guess my luck ran out this year.

We had a blast last season. My buddy got a general Leon county tag so we will be looking around Jackson or the river.
Crazy mess up charging everyone. Wonder what the refund cost them?!?

Happened to me too Barry. I was pretty freaking excited and then POOF my excitement was dashed. Ah well. Always next year.
But, I will be guiding a friend who got a Guana permit so I'll at least get to go help kill gators

Put in the account overnight, draw the interest, issue refund.

Interest won't cover the processing fees from the credit card issuer. Might be a costly screw up for the vendor.
