Awesome Oshmans

Well, I rarely endorse any specific retail outlet; however, when I 'm truly overwhelmed with customer service, I have to share the experience.
This past February, my brother in law purchased for me a new Diawa, Laguna 3500 reel, 4 ball bearings... $70 Nice little reel (1yr warranty). I loaded it up with Powerpro and have had it fishing on 3 trips. The Bail started to fail and not resume the appropriate winding position and it got to be very frustrating on my last trip.
So, I opened it up cleaned, and relubed, etc... Didn't make a difference.
I called Oshman's at Tally Mall and explained the failure to the manager and asked him what process I should follow with Diawa for repair/return. He said "Wait a minute and let me check". He told me to drop the reel off with him and he would change it out for me except that he didn't have the 3500, only had one 4000 model (7 bearings!) in stock. It turned out to be the same price.
I trucked myself over and made the exchange.
So, I don't know what Oshman's formal policy is on returns; but, this guy went way above and beyond what I'm used to experiencing in my home town of Nashville, TN.
He's made a lifetime customer from me!
