One thing about the speed of light it gets here too early in the morning

The red tide is not over this way. Go out and fish and let us know if you catch anything. So few reports on this site right now, almost like fishing blind.

My son and I fished about a mile East of the light house, only in 3 ft of water Saturday. Pulled in 5 trout, all about 12 inches. Nothing to cheer about, but better than nothing. We didnt venture farther out due to the winds and riding a 15 ft jon boat.

My buddy and I have been catching quite a few reds and trash fish lately on red and white combos in the St. Marks area. The bite is defiantly on right now!!!

thanks guys, 8 hrs. on the water, 3 keeper trout, and quiet a few shorts, 1 bluefish, lots of pins & lizardfish. watch the pelicans! great day to be on the water.
Re: St. Marks area
Thanks for the report. That sounds like how we did last Friday, 3 keepers and a lot of shorts. But it is fun to be back into the trout again.

Will the lighthouse ramp be usable around 7am Sat? Shows low at 6:15 at .7 ft. I rem yrs ago, it being a foot wide creek at low tide. I'll be in a 15ft jon.

It'll be close, depending on how much wind is out of the north, but it will still be dark enough you really won't notice.

Be careful, that ramp is super slippery at low tide. I've seen more that one person wipe out and head straight to the hospital for stitches

Re: St. Marks area
You guys talking about the flats east of the light house or the east river area?
Re: St. Marks area
I have warned a lot of folks about that ramp and witnessed several falls in person, the latest being me on Friday afternoon. Wrong shoes......stupid decision, now limping around with a wounded foot. Did not keep me from fishing Saturday and today.....it just hurt.

Note.......your wife will extend to you little sympathy when you get hurt fishing.
