Patsy and I went yesterday and found the trout. Limited out by 12:25 with most 17.5 - 18.5 inchers. What a morning! Found in 4-5 foot water stained near clear water. I caught mine jigging with a new to me bait. A clear Sparkle Beetle made by H & H Bait Company. Ten per pack and less than $2.00 at the Sports Academy store in Valdosta. Tough little bait too. Patsy got her's slinging a cork with midnight tiger, new penny and fire tiger gulp.

You need to go fishing. They are biting!

Blue Spinner, we caught a lot of small trout as well but no trash fish like catfish and ladyfish. One gag grouper about 14" was the prize of the day along with a good race with a cobia. Thought about giving you a shout on the radio but didn't. Last week my wife caught the bigger trout while I caught the kind you talked about. Any catch is fun but I don't like the odds of killing shorts by catching them. That is one reason why we leave after catching our limit. We wanted to fish longer!

When we fished a few weeks ago, I lost count of small trout. Seemed like 8-10 for every keeper, but at 12-14'' they were still nice-looking trout.

I enjoy catching almost anything. After several catfish/ladyfish/lizard fish I do have enough of them.

I went to Willichochee Georgia today. A man who lives there showed me a picture of bream caught in a river outside of town….nice big ones! I guess all the rain this summer has fatten them up.
