Thinking about running out Monday morning and seeing if the trout have moved into the St. Marks river as of yet. Anybody been out and tried it yet?

Tried last weekend and had no success. Water was too warm in my opinion. The weather has been chilly this week though.

I caught some in front of the lighthouse yesterday. Someone at the landing told me of a 28" trout caught upriver near 98.

On the River by 0900. Went to the first bend just passed "Resume" sign and nothing. Went to second bend and one dink Mangrove. A couple of boats came from up river around 1030am and they claimed that they caught nothing and were headed to the bars around the light house. We did the same. Got setup and tide was just coming in. Threw several different gulps on jig heads, live shrimp on tourist rigs and cut mullet. Was able to scratch out 2 barley legal Red's and one barley legal speckled trout. Released all to battle again. I did discover that our new Stick it anchor pins do not do well around oyster bars. The new Garmin 74 DV worked great and the new aluminum trailer performed great. I am very thankful for a great day on the water with my son and very thankful for my new toys. Tight lines, everyone!
