Cool video! It is still a beautiful lake, not near as much water in it as was when I was a kid going there with Grandad.

Cool ... do you know what kind of drone that is. I am thinking of getting one for Christmas. Seems that you got to spend over $500 to get anything really useful.

They are some great pictures.
I am trying to remember which year we visited that lake and it was practically empty, I think it was 2004.
On a side note, it is becoming law in the UK that all drones have to be registered and will eventually be subject to an enforceable (rather than just recommended) set of conditions, relating to safety, security and evasion of privacy.

Do you happen to know the hp for the long tail? Not a lot of speed but seemed to push that big boat with 4 people pretty well. I have a 1860 with a 60hp outboard and have been toying with the idea of a long tail kit.

Be careful and choose your kit wisely. A buddy put a 14hp on a Swamprunner kit frame and it's on a 14' v hull fiberglass boat and it will only run 8-9 mph. The prop won't stay in the water, keeps rising and blowing out. There is not metal fin/guide on the shaft and it will give you a heck of a work out running it. I'm betting that motor in the video was not kit and 20+ hp.
LT= less speed but more torque
SD= more speed but less torque
Nothing wrong with either one IMHO.

Not my drone and not my boat
wally, The boat is a 17foot dixon aluminum boat designed for the long tail. Its a 27hp.
They run fine but are slow with a heavy load.
I have a 27hp I want to sell if your interested in trying it out...
The Drone stayed 100 yards from the boat- Not sure how far it would really go.
Combo of a joysitck and Ipad for controls
Cranfield, same thing is happening here. They all have to be registered by late February.
