Going to drop my boat off at sheilds in the morning and was wondering where would be a good place to wade and try to get a few trout. Thanks

Wakulla Beach is usually worth a shot on the right tide. Caught some nice ones at Mashes Sands wading too.

If your going to shields, you can try where the St marks and wakulla rivers meet. Cast out into the channel in both rivers as far as you can and work your bait back to you. I have no idea if this warm weather has pushed them ou, but you can try by the lighthouse as well. Lots of waders were doing well there last month. Good luck

Thanks guys. Not a Wade fisherman, but w/o my boat and being at the coast I've got to wet a line.

I love to wade and I've caught a bunch of fish wading.
My key to success: don't give a thought to what might be swimming around your toes!

Last time I waded around the lighthouse the trout were popping off. Guys were doing well with shrimp and doa shrimp, I caught mine using netted pilchards.
