Climbing aboard the train

Howdy everyone, my name is Sam and I am an addict. I have been addicted to fishing ever since I can remember. I am new to BigBendFishing, I am told y'all are the ones to talk to if I needed to scratch the itch! :-D
On a more serious note I just want to say hey and wish everybody a great new year of fishing! I fish from St. George Island to the Aucilla regularly and I will share as much knowledge as I can from my experiences (both good and bad). I am a night shift EMT and I take online classes so I have plenty of daylight to spend on the water. My New Year's resolution is to fish three times a week, all year. Does not matter to me if i'm setting bush hooks, free lining shrimp in the gulf or just throwing the cast net for mullet. I fish out of a 15' 9" gheenoe with a 6.5hp mud motor on the back. Will be posting some reports shortly, good luck to anyone fishing this weekend!

WELCOME ABOARD, I HAVE GOTTEN TO THE AGE I CAN NOT GO TO THE GULF BY MYSELF ANYMORE, WHEN THE AIR WARMS US TO SAY 75 DEGREES I WOULD BE GLAD TO TAKE YA DOWN AND SHOW YA WHAT I KNOW ABOUT THE AREA. I HAVE A 18 FT. STARCRAFT WITH A 85 HP EVINRUDE, TOOK THE TROLING MTR. OFF IT WAS JUST IN THE WAY, I LET THE WIND AND TIDE MOVE ME OVER THE PLACES I WANT TO FISH. I JUST TURNED SO OLD THAT I AM AS OLD AS DIRT, SLOWED DOWN ABOUT 80 PERCENT BUT STILL CAN REEL IN A BIG TROUT OR RED. MAYBE WE CAN GET BACK TOGETHER WHEN IT WARMS UP A BIT.
