Took my daughter, nephew and niece fishing Saturday. We launched the boat around 10:00am and went to our favorite hole first. After 5 minutes of tangled lines and baiting hooks, things settled down and then WHAM! Fish on. We caught two reds, 23 inches each in the fist 30 minutes and another large one that broke the line. After that, we started catching shorts. Stayed inside the bridge and fished until 2:00pm. The kids had a great time.

Final tally: 2 keeper Reds, 12 to 15 shorts, and one 22 inch trout. All the Reds were caught on live shrimp fished on the bottom. The trout was caught under a CT.

Great day with the kids.

Fished Bald Point from kayaks Sunday AM with a couple of friends, Billy and Terri, from Tallahassee. My girl friends first saltwater yak fishing trip. Billy caught several short and a couple of keeper trout on a DOA Shrimp under a CT, Terri and Lisa got hooked up but came unpinned at the yak. All I got was the skunk. Other than the wind it was a really great day on the water with good company. My first trip to the area and it won't be the last.
