Took the day off work in an effort to curb the bad case of spring fever I have, and that was just the cure. Used live shrimp, gold Aqua Dream, and a copper penny Mambo Mullet. First two fish were over slot reds at 28+". I tried my best not to whoop too loud (didn't want to spook the fish!). The rest were under slot reds in the 16" range, and then the catfish showed up. It was an unforgettable day on the water. Happiest I've ever been to come home with an empty cooler. There's nothing like the excitement of screaming drag and then seeing the huge copper flash just subsurface of a big red. The problem now is that I don't want to work at all this week...sigh

Hardhead cats. It was windy, but that turned out to be my good fortune as I focused on fishing way up creeks instead of out in the open around oyster bars. It was a bumpy ride back to the launch!
