Turkey down!

Post by onefishtwofish »

Playing on house money now! My main goal before the season was to get a bird in range for my daughter's first. She is 22 and never wanted to hunt before last year. She is my fishing buddy. But this weekend, she went to the beach with a nasty old boy. So dad still went hunting.

Nice bird.
I've avoided that potential addiction but the temptation is rising ;-)

You and me both. Saw my turkey addicted friend yesterday and he was tempting me badly! I used to be addicted, but when I as in school in Gainesville, I chased after an Oscoloa and while I nailed one of those suckers, the skeeters feasted on me unmercifully! That cured me of the addition for at least 30 years! :smt005
Its a wonderful day in the neighborhood!

The Thermacell has changed the game. I give a light spritz of bug repellant as I leave the truck and never think about it again. I always have 2-3 butanes and 4-5 extra pads for the Thermacell in my vest. I get bit by bugs a lot more fishing than I do turkey hunting.
