Skipped work to head down to steinhatchee on Tuesday and was glad I did. Caught over 30 trout, all but one was just a hair too short. Still better than going to work. All were caught in 2 to 5 ft of water North of the River, we drifted deeper and not a bite. All were caught with gulp or z man shrimp under popping corks, we used shrimp poboy, nuclear chicken, and new penny but color didn't seem to matter.

Thanks for a good detailed report. Bigger ones were found in deeper water north of you.

Good to know, but honestly as choppy as it was I was satisfied with just shorts. We tried 7 to 8 ft, we're they deeper? I felt sorry for the occupants of a 23ft skiff trying to run wide open in a pretty rough chop.

7 to 8 feet is where they were but that is like a financial report, just a picture of that moment which changes so fast. Here today, gone tomorrow or should we say, "Gone With The Wind".
