I'm looking to purchase a '02 or newer 2200v with a budget in the low $20K's. Also looking for a 15/17t or similar skiff.

I picked up my boat from mikes marine ways yesterday. There was a 17' T there that he was working on. He said pathfinder built that boat like crap. He said all of their other boats were great, but they didn't build the 17t v very well. I've never heard anything bad about them until yesterday. I love my pathfinder and wouldn't sell her for what she cost brand new, so I hate to speak ill of the company. I'm just passing on what I was told by someone that knows a lot more about it than I do. Yes that is somewhat true. The 17t's built before 2000 had stringer problems. They would separate from the hull. After 2000 MBC fixed the problem. I have never heard of an issue of those built post 2000. Most of the pre '00 have been fixed and the ones that haven't can be fixed relatively easy. I'm looking for a '00 or newer just to be safe.Salty Gator wrote:I picked up my boat from mikes marine ways yesterday. There was a 17' T there that he was working on.
