Capt Dave, how do you like this hall em in lures? I've been curious, they seem to be very well put together and the paint looks great ( old school). I've never seen the action of them, only in the box. Do they work well?

The Hall 'em In Lures are one of the best made on the market and patterned after some classic lure designs. Dr. Fred Hall, a retired vet, and his son David started the company. Dr. Hall still makes each wooden cedar lure by hand. They are painted with premium paints and dipped three times in West System epoxy. All hardware is heavy-duty, including 3X split rings, VMC 6X hooks. Very rugged and hold up extremely well, even after multiple strikes.

There are several styles with various action. My favorites are the Hitchcock, the Ripper and the Rat Dog with rattles (I like some noise). The larger B-29 Bombers are tarpon slayers. Good balance, easy to work and attract fish! And when you compare to the price of many hard and soft-plastic lures these days, the cost of hand-crafted, American made lures is not unreasonable.

Fred also makes some absolutely gorgeous tackle boxes out of exotic woods like pecky cypress, humidors and other gift items.
