Appalach river trip, any one done it?

Thinking about putting in around Chatahoochie below the dam and making the trip to the coast and back. Any one done it? Trying to see what the river is like and what to look out for. How long it takes, any info really.

yes did it years ago I think the Locks have been closed!!?? it was almost unnavigable then in places. was a fun trip went all the way to Lanark

I did it about 5 years ago. Put in on Seminole and went thru the locks (which by the way are now shut). Couple of spots were real tough to navigate. Beautiful trip though. I spanned it out over two days, fishing all the way down. Camped out on a sandy area. Spent the night in Appalach. and ran back the next day.

By the way, took me about 6 hrs to make it back only stopping for lunch.
