Too hot to catch em

Post by Phil. 4:8 »

Had a rare opportunity to take Son-in-law and grandson to the flats. They wanted to feel the tug of a red fish on the line. Expected a scalloping crowd but not too many. Tried the usual spots in the back of Big Bay and Horns Creek, grass lines and rocky shores, but couldn't buy a bite. Finally, the grandson skunked the adults with a small trout drifting the flats. So, moral of this story; always make time family when you can, enjoy the ride and next time take snorkel and mask to pick up supper.

Glad you got to take them out. If you go again, try out deeper. The fish are in 9-10 ft. in all this heat.

Thanks Reb. I almost ventured out to the bird rack but it was getting hot by then. Should have listened to the quarterback "go deep."
