We all know safety equipment is important but when the boat goes down it gets really important.
I keep thinking the story would have been different in higher seas!

Add in some rough seas and a thunderstorm and that hull becomes impossible to hang on to. Then you got guys spread out all over the ocean. Scary.

X2 on the Epirb....check those batteries on them things as well. Found ours had been expired for over a year. Shame the Telecom's won't install cell service out to say 20 nm. I think there's enough traffic to justify the expense.
