St Marks east flats 8/17/16

We had a west to sw wind today, with hot water temperatures as usual. Our day started about 2 hrs before the peak tide. We caught pins, and went to a productive bank near the creek mouths on the flats. We freelined and tossed corked pins and quickly got about 6 reds. After the outgoing tide we ran to clear water and caught some trout before heading in a little early. Big Tarpon were jumping by the shipwreck, buoy 12 I believe. They were just off edge of the channel feeding several hours after the outgoing tide. They looked to be about 40 lbs.
