I had heard before the storm they were going to tear it down. It just probably helped the process to go faster.

Saw that yesterday, probably be seeing a new condo bldg. built there at some point in the future as it will be easier to sell the empty lot than a marina that loses money...

Have any of the wrecked ramp docks been fixed yet?

That is really sad for me to see. I grew up going to that marina with my dad when Mrs. Pat ran it. I can remember many days being the only boat out. I also remember my dad getting 500 shrimp and and having to go back for more so many fish were biting. RIP

Guess that means Keaton will never have a marina again.

It was scheduled for that day, the storm had nothing to do with it. Supposedly a lawyer from new York with an office in Tallahassee is going to put high rise condos there according to Facebook.

I heard that they let some of the permits lapse, which made reopening the marina nearly impossible due to time and expense.

Hate to see that. Launched there many a time when Shorty and Selma ran it. That pretty much ends most of the commercial businesses in Keaton.
Its a wonderful day in the neighborhood!
